In Discovering Early Civilizations, students will investigate the importance of the environment in shaping early civilizations and identify how various human needs, such as food, shelter, and clothing, were met. Students will also examine and describe the influence of early civilizations on modern society with respect to science, technology, language, art, and government. Skills developed in Discovering Early Civilizations include inquiry/research and communication skills.
