In this concluding unit, students will research, read and discuss urban legends from a variety of cultures and countries. Students will participate in a variety of popular reading activities such as shared reading, guided reading, and literature circles. They will then play a group game to prepare them to write their own urban legend by discussing with group members the different elements of the genre.

Final task: students will assume different publishing roles to compile the urban legends written by the class into a magazine or e-zine. The final task is a celebration of what they have accomplished as they discuss and respond to the urban legend magazine in a literature circle.

Age appropriate, full-colour and motivating themes, containing opportunities for speaking, listening, reading, and writing, presented in a variety of formats. Also included are models of final tasks, video clips, learning strategy boxes, and examination of grammar in Quête-language boxes. A mini-reference hand-book "Mini-guide", located at the back of the student book, includes literacy strategies, additional information related to the theme, and a summary of all language structures presented in the unit.
