Sasha Cherny was a Russian poet, writer and journalist of the 19th-20th centuries, who gained wide fame as the author of lyrical and satirical poetry feuilletons. When buying the magazine "Satyricon", in which Cherny was published, readers looked for his articles first and foremost. Vladimir Mayakovsky often quoted the writer, claiming that he loved him for his "caustic anti-aestheticism". Cherny's collections were so popular that the poet republished them many times. Even today, Sasha Cherny's works do not lose their relevance: his satire remains sharp and captivatingly funny. The publication includes the story "The Diary of Fox Mickey" and a collection of humorous stories "Soldier's Tales".
