A Core French resource designed to capture the interest of students in junior high/middle school Classroom Set

In this unit, students follow two teenagers who participate in a contest centred around la francophonie mondiale. The first subtheme examines aspects of Francophone Europe (food, sports, multilingualism), using a series of riddles and a treasure-hunt format. In the second subtheme, students visit Francophone Africa, French Polynesia, and Martinique. They learn how to play an extremely popular African game, and learn about a famous sporting event and a natural disaster. The locations and cultural information are presented in a series of varied readings and listening activities.
