Supporting the specific needs of the Ontario Grade 12 Literacy course OSSLC Break Away has been designed to support the specific needs of the new Ontario Grade 12 Literacy Course (OSSLC). This combination of teacher and student resources provides the strategies and scaffolding necessary to enable students in achieving their reading and writing goals. Using a unique mini-lesson format, students will enhance their skills in employing an array of reading strategies with a variety of text forms (informational, narrative, and graphic) and producing a variety of written texts including summaries, information paragraphs, opinion pieces, and news reports.
